They wouldn't make themselves known to you if they deemed whatever was happening was supposed to be happening. They are fairly discreet in their work. They can just teleport themselves into a reality, remove whomever they decide doesn't belong, and teleport out without a trace.
I don't necessarily take their authority seriously, but they are relatively on top of things.
Not at all. I'm one of the useful beings who they made a deal with. I was pruned from my reality when I was a toddler. Trapped within the Void and yet in some ways freer than I would have been if I'd been left in my reality.
